Steampunk Myths and Legends Entry: Ian Baker

Hi,

I've seen some fantastic ideas for this competition which have inspired me to throw my hat in the ring.
I thought that I'd try to create a depiction of the lady in the lake offering Excalibur to Arthur. I've cobbled together some reference images to get an idea of the layout and I should be able to post a finalised concept image soon.

Here is my initial layout for the scene. I visualised Arthur in full victorian army dress uniform wading out towards a cavalry sword held aloft by the lady of the lake.
Now that I've got over the flu, I can start building each of the elements in Maya.

Really nice start. Like your first concept :) Maybe beside Arthur a some sort of steam boat, only a comment :) Cheers mate! and waiting for more updates! :beer:
