Hi guys!

I'm doing a 15 sec animation for uni and I would like you guys to critique this bit. It doesnt feel totally wrong to me, but...
The rig is very basic but it works for this character and animation :).
He's preparing for a pole vault jump.
Lifting first the pole and then prepare for the jump.

This is a more recent one!

Changed the timing of the pole, so it feels a little bit lighter...

Cheers :D

I'm working on it to make it longer :D! But still, it can be criticized I think...
I just realize that my feets are wrong and should be the other way around, following the hands.
Have to remake the feet again!

It feels like he is struggling with his feet/legs too much. He walks around back and forward for no apparent reason, unless you want the pole to look heavy, then i suggest you work more on his hips, his torso and make the pole be on the ground, bending down with his body anticipating, going up and backward with his torso and head then arms/pole follows in a nice way (fast to a slow in). Hopefully that makes some sort of sense. Keep it up. :)

Kukart - Well I started uni last school year. I'm in second year now. :)
But I've been reading the animation bibles and doing exercises at home.

Erik - Thank you very much for your advice. I think you were absolutely right, and I changed to a more simple movement. Less struggle on the feet, more reaction on the hips and torso.
:D

I still need a lot of practice... :D
