Mr. Nice Guy
06-15-2003, 04:08 PM

ahhh... 3d and beer..... a heavenly combination in my opinion.
looks great so far, you should send this to lego when complete. Maybe they're looking for someone to do the instruction books...

It is one of the Model Team serie (the yellow car).
Yeah ! I have it too ! The white truck was my favourite !
Just one crit' though, I think the "tits" (or whatever it's called in english) are a bit too big.
For example, the grey part of the steering has a hole in it, and if I remember well, the "tits" should fit in this hole. Actually I don't think it can. But that should not be important...
Mr. Nice Guy
06-15-2003, 08:04 PM
To Unknown Limit: I found I site with scan of all the models with the instuctions to build them "Lego Instructions" (http://library.brickshelf.com/scans/)
To zachgrachan: yes that is the greatest combination to model. And maybe I will send it to Lego, but when you take a look at there Cd-rom, they already have a good company to do there stuff. But you can always try it.
To Commander Falk: I really don't know either how to call that in english. But I think it comes with the lights that the look big. But the fit exactly. And yes the white truck was also my favorite, but then it was to expencive in 1985
here is a scan of the model I making. I haven't scan this one, so sorry for the bad quality. (Can't turn on my scanner:annoyed: )

Hey man,:D
Looking awesome so far, I remember making that model myself when I was a kid... or at least I tried to, my dog ate 2 of the wheels!!
-XaNbOb:surprised
Mr. Nice Guy
06-15-2003, 09:21 PM
Wow, that is really bad, that you couldn't finish that. Did you kick you're dog, so that (s)he know that (s)he never will eat Lego again.;)
And here is fifth step
http://www.weber-images.nl/wip/lego/step05.jpg
Now I'm going to bed. The bottle of wine is empty now and I must go to my work tomorrow. So I think I go futher next weekend or maybe sooner.

Mr. Nice Guy
06-16-2003, 12:38 PM
Thanks for all the comments.
And yes I will put the lego logo on it, but I will put them on the stone which you will see in the final.

hey, have u modeled different kind of parts seperetally and then just putting them there...fantastic work...and if u make somekind of "library" from those parts, it would be easy and fast to make other lego things:thumbsup:
Mr. Nice Guy
06-17-2003, 10:14 AM
yes I have modeled every part seperetally. And yes I think I'm going to make a library for meself, to make things faster later:thumbsup::bounce:

great idea, inspiration to model my own LEGO stuff
and indeed the library thing is cool, u should make all the parts needed first, render it then assemble and render by step

The funniest thing in a long time, I really like the fact that you are taking your time and posting step by step.
As mentioned earlier, if you had added a LEGO logo to each little brick the thing would look so much more real.
have one on me :)
cheers.

I have a lot of original Lego manuals myself, I think I have some time to scan them to PDF this weekend, all I need then is some plce to store them so all you modellers can download them ...
btw, if it is illegal to do so, please tell me because I really don't know if it is

Hi guys,
I haven't done anything lately. The weather is to good to model anything inside the house. So I am enjoying the sun:cool:.
And adavies I really don't know what you mean with "i want to see a traditonal block man, none of this 'lego techno' ", This is a combination of traditonal blocks and technic blocks. Or do you mean that you want to see the lego man:shrug: And what do you mean with stupid webpage?
To ewerybody, that was a really funny link. It gives lego a whole new dimension.

nice work but
uhm, you know thah there's this lego-modeller which can do that in minutes, right? :D

cu
Mr. Nice Guy
05-03-2004, 10:23 PM
cucaracha, I know that there is a cad-program to make this model in minutes. But what is the fun of that. Why does everybody make characters, when there is Poser. The reason is that you can improve you way of working and it is much more funner to make it by yourself. ;)'
