Hi all

This is my last work.
It is a house from an ancient Spanish village, just a texturing and compositing exercise. Hope you like!

As allways C&C are wellcome.

I am currentlly rendering with Brazil rs. I have tried all of them and, by now, Br is the choice for me.

Really nice. I love the textures and lighting. The composition is kool too. Doesn't look strange to me. It's very a interesting angle. What have you been up to? Email me sometime and tell me what's going on with all your projects, work, Vader, etc.

Love the angle of the camera and the deatails. It gives me the feeling that I want back to Spain for holiday.

i always respect your very amazing work, 3dblasphemy, but think your image over again:

there are some proportional errors IMO...

when i see the balcony and the window behind, also the plants i try to imagine a person in relation to it. if i take this person to the ground floor in front of the store (or whatever it is with those fruit boxes??) - then this person must hit the marquee with his/her head ;)

suggestion: lower the boxes with the fruits a bit OR show us the basement in relation :)

though... at least 4 stars :applause:

Oh, please JJ, stop making the rest of the 3D artists getting depressed. My God, your pic is outstanding!!! Well, I suposse that the only thing I can do is to congratulate you... once again!! Only one crit, the plants on the roof are a bit aliased (this is just to crit something)

It's a great pic, and for the comments about the boxes, if you look at the bottom , you can see the breaks of the diffrent tables that the boxes are sitting on. :)


To Make it easer for every one to see, you may want to pull back Just a Little, so they can see the Legs of the tables & that would solve the "problems"

Way better than I can do right now, Hope to get better though :)

I agree with you that the sense is strange. The lens curve is extreme, some people has said the same so don´t worry about crit!!!! :wip:

It is the first time I use such a cam. I think that the next work will be better :thumbsup:

Someone has asked about how much time have I spent on this work.. 3 days.

great work, only thing i could think of, is where the green cover is voer the market, it could give off a very slgihtly green shawdows, to represent the light passing through the cover, but other than that its great

i know, that's more an asking for creatures-makers, but i've always wondered how the wireframe details of such a simple but so realistic picture looks. it just doesn't seem as if a simple box for a wall (for example) is good enough if you can do a good material. Can you show us please the wireframe?

Hi all and thanks for the comments... and stop kidding about my hair or I will :wip:

Well, about the textures: I have used two bitmaps of 3k*3k for the main box of ther house and some little ones for the details as the windows, the doors, the pipes, ....

Whe I am gonna textrure some like this I see all my bitmap database looking for maps that fit on my imege... I take about 100 different maps. The hard work is how to mixture the maps. In this scene I spent about 6 hours making the main box. Is important too to know hot to make a good bump. I don´t use any trick. Only take my wacom and start painting, clearing, adding breaks, ..... And that´s all.

Very very nice job.

Only crit I got are the windows. They look like they have tinting material on them. If they were perhaps slightly less reflective and possibly more transparent, they may look like the glass look. Unless of course tinted is what you want, then I shut up.

Maybe a higher spec on them as well, since the sun is hitting that side of the building full on. The 2nd level windows BTW, the others look fine/consistant.

I like it, nice detail, very realistic and cool diffused lighting.
Also the marketplace at the bottom and the banana boxes give a nice flair to the place.

fantastic image dude, I can't imagine 3 days for this.. lot to learn I guess. There is a few small dark areas over some of the pic i don't understand, if you look right under the circular window or the window next to it?? Also on the railing on the first floor seems to get darker in some areas for no apparent reason??.. maybe some sort of lighting/rendering glitch?

very hard to pick but im fairly new on this forum and this is kind of fun for me when I'm bored at work!

Only critic is that the shadow of the top balcony is parallel to the latticework. A little change in camera placement would help a lot!

but im qurious about how low on mesh size it really is:surprised :wavey:

but a little adjustment to the window would do it..
with a grayscale image of furniture or some vage shapes behind it or soemthing

The circular and square openings at the top of the building have an odd break in the shadow where a line can be spotted. It looks like this is a compositing problem.

The textures are awesome!!!
Very well done as usual.

Only thing I see is the corner of the wall seems to perfectly round and maybe a little to big. It has some variation to it but maybe some more uneveness to it.

Even that is a minor comment, I am not to familiar with Spanish Architecture so that how it may look correct.

Other than that I think it is perfect.
