hey guys, i just JUST got Zbrush, and i've been working with 3D in general for around 3 months.

i'm currently experimenting with Zbrush to see if character modeling could be made easier, and so far so good, but i need some advice!

This is my very first sculpt on Zbrush.http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/guitarproud/HeadQuestion1.jpg

im not through adding stuff. (as you can see be the weird ear...) but i need some help on some features...

especially the lips. what do you suggest i do to make them look more natural?

the nose?

eye sockets?

any general features? (i.e. chin, forehead)

okay, and the little weird lines on the chin. are those to go away with the addition of more details or did i do something incorrectly? (regarding topology?)

thanks people! hope you can help!

thanks in advance,

Alex

I am not sure how you built your sculpt, but it gives me the impression that ypu are using a base mesh with too many polys. try a lower (as low as you can go) base mesh and make first a skull studdy, thet start laying out the features on top. A strong structural foundation makes the diference

Ryan Kingslien has great videos illustrating this

thanks for the help man!

i started my base mesh with a zsphere. (i added more ZS's where the eyes, mouth, and ears go, and pushed those in, then added a larger one for the nose, and left it pushed out.

converted it to a mesh, then started sculpting, and dividing when i needed.

BUT!

though it started off with very few polys, i might have divided the mesh too soon while sculpting, giving it that look. (which sucks)

thanks man!

i'll check out that/those video/s.
