so this is my first rendering/modeling/anything in 3d studio max. Even as i look at it now i see tons and tons of things that could be done to it, but nothing in particular :-D
i've browsed around a little bit and have seen some AMAZING stuff on this board already so i'm interested in hearing some hardcore feedback, thanks!

for one thing... to get a moon that big you would have to use a telescopic lense, however the room seems to be shot with a 35 mm lense.

You will find that shots that include a moon large in them are shot from a good distance with lettle perspective distortion.

i would try to get more out of your textures. you can use bump and spec maps to give some more eneveness to the specular hits on your surfaces too. Asuming you want it more real looking.

For a first rendering its a good start.

Definatley move that moon away from the building. Unless you live on a planet that has moons that close. Imagine the problems we'd have with our surf if the moon came that close. Reminds me of the scene in Bruce Almighty..... I agree with Rich Suchy about getting more out of your textures.. And if those are rice paper doors that are open, wouldn't we see something in the BG?? Tab bit more lite for my eyes too... Nice render:thumbsup:
