i started to read some tutorials for blender and i have a problem with nurb curves.
when i try to join 2 curves (ctrl+j) all the curves move to the center of the active curve (left side of the picture)

how can i join the curevs and keep their position?

The order you select the nurbs curve governs how the surfaces for the curves are patched.

In short, select your nurbs curve in order from one end of the boat to the other.

Don't select a curve from one end, jump to the other end, select a curve there, jump to the middle, select a curve in the middle, jump to somewhere else random and select another curve.

Good luck.

i dont select them randomly, it doesent matter how i select them, they always merge together on the "active" curve.
i also tried it with 2 fresh unmodified nurb curves and the same thing happens when i try to join them :surprised

EDIT: i got some help in the blender irc channel, the problem was that all curves had different pivot locations and i coulndt move them to the cursor without 3D activated. so it works perfect if all pivot points are in the same location :bounce:
