Hi there everyone, this is my second 2d Challenge and I'm looking forward for another exciting time ^^. I have made a doodle that I will post later, in the mean time here's the myth I choose for the challenge.

Sampo
In Finnish mythology, the Sampo was a magical artifact constructed by Ilmarinen that brought good fortune to its holder; nobody knows exactly what it was supposed to be. When the Sampo was stolen, it is said that Ilmarinen's homeland fell upon hard times and sent an expedition to retrieve it, but in the ensuing battle it was smashed and lost at sea.
The Sampo has been interpreted in many ways: a world pillar or world tree, a compass or astrolabe, a chest containing a treasure, a Byzantine coin die, a decorated Vendel Period shield, a Christian relic, etc. In the Kalevala, compiler Lonnrot interpreted it to be a quern or mill of some sort that made flour, salt, and gold out of thin air. The world pillar theory, originally developed by historian of religions Uno Harva and linguistic Eemil Nestor Setala in the early 20th century, is the most widely accepted one.
Kalevala
Cantos 39–44: The plunder of the Sampo (third Väinämöinen cycle): Väinämöinen, Ilmarinen and Lemminkäinen sail to get the Sampo; they kill a great pike out of whose jaw bone the first kantele is made; Väinämöinen lulls everyone in the hall of Pohjola to sleep with his singing and the Sampo is stolen; the Mistress of the Northland conjures a great army, turns herself into an eagle and fights for the Sampo; the Sampo falls into the sea.

I'm thinking to go with the Kalevala myth, with this theme become a SteamPunk-style device that produces food, salt and gold (maybe something else for variation).
I don't know yet if I want to use Vainamoinen character and legend for the scene or make an entirely new setting. Either way, the Sampo will be the central theme.
That's it for now, I'm going to sketch some stuffs. Any suggestions are welcome
Thank you
Peter
