Hello Greg. Good start!

This is a bit of topic but I just had to go and check when I looked at your avatar character.

And yes it is definitely the same person. This is the world famous (in Norway that is) movie critic Pål Bang-Hansen. :applause:

Thanks guys!

Try, actually thats just a coincidence, the face in my avatar was from my imagination.
maxspider3000, I'm imagining some pretty elaborate details, I think my chances of finishing aren't good...... but its all for fun.

That's a really cool concept and it gives you heaps of room really experiment with stuff.
I like the composition too, really dramatic
I look forward to seeing what you come out with.

Looking good, I like the concept.

The face looks like a mask right now connected to machine. I'm not sure if you mean to do all machine or part organic but if organic is going to be part of this make sure you do the head well.

I would also increase the contrast. Hope this helps.

Thanks niva, yeah, I did mean the face to be metal, I want it to be a decorative robot, like an elaborate piece of armor.
I won't really have time to work on this for at least a couple of weeks though, not sure if I'll actually be able to finish this one.

Awesome to see you enter Greg, hoping to see some cool stuff coming out of your head.
Are you doing this piece in 3d? If so I hope you don't mind if I suggest you try a more cinematic camera angle or composition. Possibly lower down and with less open space around to emphasize the scale of this monster?
Great detail though, looking forward to seeing more.

It looks really cool and beautiful, but I keep getting caught on the arch of her back. With her forelegs as long as they are, she'd be sort of saddlebacked when she stood up fully, wouldn't she?

I can't help but think her back would look better, and more natural if it had a gentler curve into the lower body--but that's just my opion.

Love the design of her shoulder plates. I keep going back and looking at those and smiling. :D

If that's the sketch then I wonder how the final piece would be!!!
I'll watch in silence and learn from the masters :)

Quite right Mercuralis, I think this shorter version is a bit better, and I might tone down the curve when (if?) I go into 3d.
