This is my first CG challenge I wanted to take the myth about Perseus and Medusa. My art I based on an image from Tanglewood Tales c 1920 made by Arthur Cotterel & Rachel Storm. Please any comments are very welcome.

As I was modeling the character and the environment I started doing some changes from my original concept until I get this result Now Im working on the textures and lighting of my scene.

Hey Mr. Gomez! everything is looking really good, Is this high poly or low poly? I see a little bit of low geo on the cracked pillar in the back, Other then that its pretty solid man, maybe when you do the final composite add a little blur on the foreground pillars and the background ones so the character stands out. The texturing will be a challenge let me know how that goes.

I based my image on the myth of Perseus and Medusa. I did some changes from the conceptualization until I obtained this result. One of the challenges that I found was to make the set look like a battle just happened there. I rendered different passes so I could manipulate the colors and the lighting. I use Autodesk Maya to do the 3D art and Adobe Photoshop to put everything together. This is my first CGSociety challange and I really enjoyed it. Im looking forward for more Amazing chanllenges like this. Thanks
