Hi,
I begin participation in image competition.
The huge steam gun will be the basic part of a composition round which all will be modelled. The gun will be simply enormous, shooting by means of steam, huge kernels.
The attention, begins hot war!
All good luck and fair rivalry!

WOW man this is splendid stuff friend!:applause:
Love ale the details and lightning already. The Canon is awesome I think but maybe it should stand more in silhouette against the sky or something. so it don't disappear in front of all the other structures.
I'm also a bit worried about the structures in front of the barrel there it it fires of a shot. ;)

but seriously a great job so far!

Hi! I have a little changed a composition. Big a subject distract attention from a gun. At a gun now new feet, heavy and powerful.

Coldrum
12-12-2008, 11:41 PM
Wow this is cool! nice details.. my only suggestion would be that everything seems a little linear at the moment? it's a really tight composition tho so hey... I kind of expected to see the barrel of the canon in the foreground but these are only personal preferences. Awesome work :)

The gun has turned out very big, does not wish to be located in a chamber objective. The big problem to thrust it in a shot. I continue to experiment. Has not thought that with the sizes of a gun there can be problems.

12-15-2008, 08:47 AM
That is some of the most ambitious modeling I have yet. The materials and lighting seem to be coming along very nicely. I thinks what it needs is some sort of frame of reference. Try people, trees, cars, or something similar. Tweaking the environment could help as well. Have to add some haze or fog? Good luck, and hopefully things keep progressing well.

Hi, as I can not it will be defined with a composition. Models has created much, but all do not correspond to a composition. While has decided to make experiments with light and materials. And time not simply goes, it runs. Time, time, time... All good luck and 25 hours per days!

12-15-2008, 08:46 PM
I love the detail here, especially the chains around the structure base. I do agree though that some more people/vehicles might help with the composition. But from the amount of detail work you're putting into it I can see where you'd run out of time! Great work, I can't wait to see how this turns out.

The big gun had a girl-friend, a small gun:-)). The small gun can shoot very precisely, it has an optical sight. A sight I will complete still, it while the concept. Soon there will be new models.

SagiCZ, it 3dsMAX/Vray. Now 500 000 polys.
Intel Q6600 (3.2 GHz overlock) ATI 4850. Polys have to save, or else the power is not enough for the final scene.

hi,

your gun is fantastic but not the way you show it (my opinion)
i would prefer to show the "steam-gun" more like a monster or a battle machine.
... destroyed area, some soldiers
and one foot of your gun should stand on a crushed vehicle or something else
i think that would look very interesting

Has a little corrected structures, has changed an optical sight. The big gun shoots now further, the trunk is lifted.
