Yeeh, thx guys for the warm welcom,sure feels good to be here with you guys again!

Well, the thing is that I've always been, and I still am mad about myths & legends.
I f***ing adore it in fact!:D
Through different parts of the world and differents cultures this is an endless source of inspiration.
So took out my books and now I'm really hesitating haha!

I'll proberly go in a direction that's related with the tree of life that's present in several ancient cultures.
Personaly I feel Yggdrasil(from the nordic mythologies) the best.
His roots are gnawed by huge snakes and his leaves and trunk are attacked by several monsters and creatures each and every day.
A Squirrel named Ratatosk had the task to forward the messages from the summit to the roots of the tree.
I like this Squirrel against big bad monsters idea.
He often had to face huge dangers!!
Whaahaaa, poor Squirrel!!
I got to give him some kinda steamy engine with big guns or so to defend himself while he goes up & down forwarding the gods messages inside this tree.
(maybe a tree made of metal)etc,something like that.
I'll tune the story a bit.

An Other idea I had was a myth I invented about humans that at least & fortunatly find a dragon.Finaly their existence has been proved!!!(I'm secretly still waiting for this to happen for real:D)
The dragon is captured & frozen inside a huge iceberg with all kinda strange ancient runes and rests of an ancient civilisation all around it..A huge steammachine is needed for the ice not too melt.A machine this big that a town where most of the scientists life was build on it.
All around the iceberg are little icebergs containing the dragon eggs.

This huge dragon inside a iceberg with his eggs posed in a nice clean circle all around him...is this just a coincidence?...

I'll do a scene of the Hindu epic "Râmâyana".
Love it!!!

One moment, the hero "Rama" got to deliver a princess named Sita.
He got the help of Hanuman, the monkey god that was leading a monkey army to fight the demon King Ravana by his side.

Often Ravana was depicted with many faces & arms.
Ravana" is in compagny of the "Rakshasas": Demon shapechangers, they can assume various physical forms. As illusionists, they are capable of creating appearances which are real to those who believe in them or who fail to dispel them. Rakshasas are cannibals, and make their gleeful appearance when the slaughter on the battlefield is at its worst.

I would like to try the part where Rama, Hanuman and his steamy monkey army meet up with Ravana and his Rakshasas.

Kept on developping my idea of Ravana and his Rakshasas against Rama, Hamuman and his monkey army.
Some sandwich doodles.Hope they're understandable :D.

I'll be doing a lot more of research on the different apes & Monkeys inside the monkeyarmy.So fun!
Some of them will be flying,sitting in helicopter barok chairs:-)

Whether you're looking for dark or comical is really on what mood you want to set. I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing some steam powered monkey fist gadgets and some wacky gizmo's to use for weapons. Personally, I think that fits rather well for a monkey army :P

I think Hanuman is a king of monkey ,there are different
monkey king tale spread over asian myth but they share the same point ..which is
hanuman is the king and in chinese tale , his army are spawn from his single fur ,
so my point is , maybe you can make the big monkey with extreme complex design
to make it different from the whole army , or .... maybe you plan to .....

A humorous approach would bring fresh air into it.

Yep, I really really loved the theme of this contest and it really got me inspired actually.
And I see I wasn't the only one!Amazing works man, wowwww!!!

But then suddenly new commisions came in and ofcourse I do not complain about this at all but I have to admit I'm a bit(a lot actually) sad I couldn't be in with you guys this time.:cry::sad:...aaarghhh...
I surely hope we'll meet up again next time!
