Hi all
The Idea I am working on is the Legend about the mythical king Arthur and the sword in the stone. I am hoping to place Arthur in a robotic suit of armour and pose him pulling Excalibur out of the stone or cliff.
I will have a few ideas drawn up soon.
Good luck to all

Hi ! What an excellent legend... so much to create about this! And your 3d sketchs are really good! ¨Clap clap clap¨
Are you going to make it in 3D ?
If you only want the 3D to use it as model, i give you a friendly advice: try to draw the shapes, and hide the shapes you don't see in the model (exemple: the left elbow is hidden by the right arm) and very important also, try to keep the shape of the empty spaces.
Peace :)

Thanks Ferx and Brad, I am having a lot of fun with this idea.
Thanks for the advise Liquid It's a really good idea, I will give that a go later. In answer to your question I will make most of the detail in 3ds max and then comp it in Photoshop.
I am thinking of making the stone into a cathedral, and the sword into part of a cross. As for the robot i am going to add lots of platforms, doors and ladders to give it a sense of scale. I will draw up a few more ideas shortly.
