I love, love, love the atmosphere and the enviornment in the concepts. Something about abandoned, overgrown looking places just makes me happy.

love the atmosphere a lot dude! :bounce: the only thing that got me thinking was tarzan's look ... i think he needs the elements that makes him "tarzan" ... meaning the long hair, slightly broader jaw and maybe an athletic body structure ..
see how it works out ... that signature tarzan look has to strike the viewer's attention .. ;)
really looking forward to your updates mate!
good luck to you!

I really like this idea, it's really 'different' :) But I think you should make it more apparent that he has a watch repair shop, maybe put some old clocks behind him, on the tree or standing next to the tree, or some tools and stuff. Also, to me, it's not very clear that this is Tarzan, he looks a little bit ogre-ish but maybe this is just him when he's old. Anyways great pice and especially love the monkeys waiting in the stairs.
Keep up the good work man!

Your lighting is awesome! I love the humour but I thought we were confined to actual myths and legends, not old classics?

lordbiernac
01-09-2009, 10:13 AM
Totally cool:) One of your best so far!!! Didn't you think of giving the steam-monkeys some lights in the eyes (maybe even in some different color like red or something, just to break the color scheme..) or something like that? This would help to get them out from the background because now I think that they are a bit hidden (and they're totally worth being exposed!!!). This would also help to lead the eye from the bottom to the top of the painting even better than it is now....
Anyways I love it!!! :buttrock:

so here's final image, titeled Tarzan's Clock Workshop. This is my interpretation the Legend of Tarzan, king of the apes. After a long years spent in a jungle he decided to become a watchmaster in a steam jungle and run his own business. At this time world took a big step forward. Machines, steams are everywhere..and his workshop is doing fine..

I want to say thanks to everyone who posting here!
