Recently I've undertaken some vfx type work which has been inspiring stuff. I never realised before quite how many shots use vfx. Even the most unassuming period drama has seen corrections in post production.
Anyways I was watching episode 2 of the new Terminator series and I spotted a shot that got me wondering how it was put together.
Cameron sits at a table drawing out perfect barcode lines onto a card. Try doing it, it's really hard to draw perfect lines like that!
Here's what I came up with when working it out.

H264 Mp4 abt 19MB: http://www.ajcgi.co.uk/video/barcode.mp4
The mp4 is probably a right-click, save as sort of situation.
It's actually SD, but good quality compared to the render.
All After Effects.
