I am pleased.
The idea:
In Greek mythology, the Sirens were three mythical women. Half fish. Half a human. And even in my imagination halfway abnormal Geschnätz.
The connection to Steampunk I bring about microphones. The microphones are again with all kinds of engines and associated equipment.

In my head, everything is already done. Now it must ONLY go from my head to you.

I am pleased.
The three sirens in their work.
I'm trying to implement my own style. This can see well at the head of sirens. This type of head I have for many tasks. I do not want to normal, beautiful women have to sit.
I hope I have in the next few years time, to make more pictures of this kind.

@hanzen
thx.
You lay the focus in the right place.
That makes you as a professional.
I am curious like a walk back to your work.

The structure.
The three sirens centered. On a piece of rock sitting. The rock is fixed on a machine. The whole set up could be in a kind of theater. But I leave the idea open to the rear.
Let's see where it goes in the next few weeks.

Poem about the picture:

Stone on stone,
Turrets fine,
Light pure,
100 markers slip.

In German it is much better:

Stein auf Stein,
Türmchen fein,
Licht rein,
100 Mark Schein.

First positioning of the three sirens on a rock.
Let's see how the texture (did you know that in many textures absolutely no text in it?) of the sirens will in the end.
Maybe I give them more clothes. To the chest.

hossa jakyll,

you positioned the rock good, so no one can look the sirens under the rock.

i like your steam. maybe you can show some humans/listeners for example to the foreground. to put more strenght on the "sound". maybe their heads explode or something like that. do you know what i mean?

... i should have drawn something for myself, instead of writing here, damn!

Small update.
Did not have much time.

I model one of this fishchars in lowply.
Duplicate it two times. And posing somewhat of three.
But it is only done quickly. The characters I work still continues. More tension in the posture. More differences.

Teeth and gums added. More details on the bodies.

If you're very quiet, then you can hear the three sing.
But be careful. Can be addictive.

i think you should make the upper parts of their body less glossy, some iridescent specularity only on the scales would look great

I am working on the scene around the 3 Sirens. There is much to model. I'm at work thinking about the scene and their contents. I do always the basis of preparatory sketches. But mostly, I see only at work, what comes out at the end.
That's the advantage if you work for yourself, and not for others.
;)

Here you can see ... i think 90 % of the content.

Start to texture the mics.
This render is not final and not in best quality. Lighting and rendersetup i do on the end.

The most unique and disturbing sirens I have seen. Deliciously bent. I can't wait to see more. The siren's head are great enough but the pit hair really brings it over the ROFL edge.

Fantastic!

Software: BodyPaint,CINEMA 4D,Photoshop,ZBrush

The 3 sirens in concert

Theme: Steampunk in conjunction with myths and legends.
The idea was quickly found. I chose the sirens from Greek mythology. 3
should it be.
Now, the combination with Steampunk be found.
Technology. Machines.
Hm, ok...the sirens sing. Aha! They sing into microphones. The first
idea was an art concert hall. Later I decided for an art recording
studio.
Thus the 3 sirens are felt at home, they should be sitting on a small
piece of rock. I still wanted to somehow incorporate my own style.
First, I had very normal brains of 3 beautiful women on the bodies.
Hm. .. to normal. To normal for me. So I decided for a crazy head. As I
often do with my work.

After the sketches were made, I started simultaneously with the sirens.
First, I built a low-poly mesh in Cinema 4D.
This was exported into ZBrush.
In ZBrush the mesh was refined. Details like the shed. Then made three
duplicate. I modeled the stone directly in ZBrush. Then I took the 3
sirens positioned on the stone.
Back in Cinema 4D I built the scaffold, which should keep the stone.
I exported the models from ZBrush to Cinema 4D.
Now it was time to fine the camera position.
The 3 sirens and the stone I had in ZBrush textured. I used the AUV
Tiles. It goes faster. But brings the disadvantage that a lot of post
is needed.
The rest I modeled in Cinema 4D.
Then it was time for the setup. Lights were set. Countless test
renderings made.
The final image I had made with the new Advanced renderer in Cinema 4D.
Finally, made the post a few hours with Photoshop.

And ready.
Can you hear it?

Sorry for my english. I am better in Computer Graphics than in
languages (i hope).
