So I've got my comp done and i want to render. My comp is 1280x720 it's about a minute long. For qualities sake, I didn't use any kind of compression and came up with a 6GB file. HUGE file. I want to get the quality to remain the same, but significantly reduce the file size to something postable on the web. Anybody have any suggestions?

What output you are aiming for? Web(probably not), playback from computer, DVD?

Search this and the compositing subforum, there are many posts about encoding, do's and don'ts.

Yepp, do a search. QT H.264 will obviously be one of the few choices if you want to provide a full-res version for download and playback.

I use Quicktime Pro and the H.264 - which works great. I am still impressed by the small file size and quality. It still requires a fast connection and a bigger computer for playback.

I have had mixed results (mostly poor) - trying to do this straight out of AE. However, I have had better luck with the microsoft wmv format - plus this plays on my Xbox 360. I don't find this format to be ideal for the web.
