Hey all, this is actually for a short film, but I focus on game art so I'm modeling this environment using game-art techniques so I figured I would post it here.

The overall feel of the environment is supposed to feel like a really dirty, cluttered area, sort of like the slums of the town, or Narrows in Batman Begins, but there still needs to be room in the alley because 2 cars need to fit in there in any sort of way really. There are still a few things that need to be added but before I went on to texture and light the whole thing I just wanted your feedback on the layout, maybe get some more ideas. Here it is so far, hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Looks good so far. You cant really post it up as game art without giving a poly count or showing it in wireframe though. ;) :p

Good point lol. Here is a pic of the wireframe. So far poly count is roughly 59k tris

i don't know how your camera will be animated, but to me it seems like the buildings in the background are more detailed than the ones in the foreground. especially the one on the right needs something at the top.. some sort of trim maybe? the end of the wall is pretty close to the top of the window.
also the power pole (looked that word up in the dictionary, hope it's the right one  ) is way to thick imo.

but overall i really like it. i think you got the theme very well. :)

I'm digging it so far, but the garbage bins are quite high poly compared to everything else.
