View Full Version : Mirroring/Duplicating Set Driven Keys???
lennybruce 11-11-2008, 07:07 PM Hi I was wondering if anyone knows how to mirror or duplicate set driven keys from one side of the body to the other. For example. I've set up the set driven keys on my character's left hand and I want to do the same thing to the right hand. I don't know if there is an easy way to do this but I'd imagine that Maya would be able to do it.
Also is it possible to do this with influence objects?
Thanks.

Well, you'd think Autodesk would have such an easy tool as to mirror set driven keys in maya....but they don't.
One option is to export the SDK's out to a text file and then just do a search/replace for what side to use and then bring the script back into maya and execute it. If you do a google search for "export SDK maya", it should be the first hit. I ended up taking some snippets from this script to build my own mirroring sdk script so there is some handy stuff in there for sure.
