Low render settings? Wrong file format on your textures?

What would be a good file format? I'm using .TGA right now for textures with no bump maps or anything on them.
I'm fairly new to using mental ray so..

Use uncompressed tif files

Looks like you're getting arealight undersampling artifacts , try lowing down your contrast treshold in your globals or upping your arealight highsamples low samples and high sample limit

If your using depth map shadows try turning the filter size to 0. If that isn't the problem then you probably have a graphics card issue.
