Hey all! I'm new at this morph target stuff in Max. This will be my first animated character. I'm using morphs for the facial animation and simple bones (haha..simple bones) to animate what I hope will be a short speech avi. here are the first 4 morphs. Crits are more than welcome. Also if anyone has good reference sites for phonemes and facial muscle stuff please post the url. Can never have enough reference material.

Thanks

I'm trying the phoneme poses but they're tough. Is it better to set separate targets for each part of the face (eye area, cheeks, mouth) and then make the expressions needed by mixing the areas with slides or is it best to model the actual expressions ( surprise, anger....) and make a slider for each? I thought by working each area I could get more combinations and there for more possible expressions. Could use advise on this stuff.

Here is one with the brow down and yell morphs on full.
