Hey everyone,
I am in need of some advice with understanding resolutions a bit more.

I am currently working on a major project, in 3D Studio Max.
The result I would like is Widescreen 16:9, PAL, and possibly HD 1280x720.

I understand that Widescreen PAL is 720 x 576 at 16:9 Ratio, how can I achieve this true resolution for rendering and then importing to a video editing suite, aswell as HD.

In 3D Studio Max, the settings that you can change.
Image Aspect, Pixel Aspect, and Aperture Width(mm).

I have looked at quite a few pages related to this, and im still unsure what to do.

Could anyone tell me which settings to input?

Thanks :D

I've been thinking about this thoroughly.

In my own opinion, I think it's best to render out in HDTV, 1280 x 720, 16:9, (1.333).

What does everyone think?

Would that cause any problems.

if you render pal you pick image aspect 720*576 with a pixel aspect of 1.422
if you render hd 720p you pick image aspect 1280*720 with a pixel aspect of 1
