The O.A.F. (Open Air Fighter) was completely modeled in Wings 3D. The terrain, lighting, materials, and rendering were done in C4D. I still have some more work to do...cockpit controls and detail, alter the seat a little, attach the shielding and put retractable landing gear on it. There are a few mesh problems that need to be corrected as well. Wings is super! :)

A change in materials. The space scene isn't really appropriate since this is intended to be a terrestrial vehicle (although I suppose with a Space Suit a pilot could opperate it in space although the wings and fin would be rediculous). The engine flame thing is overdone. Just trying some different materials and render settings.

Wow that looks amazing.

How long did this take you?

I am working on the wings 3d manual project to go along with the software. I am looking for some wings related art to basically show off the modeling potential of wings3D.

Would you consider allowing me to use these images in the manual?

thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason. Feel free to use whatever you wish. :) I didn't really keep a close eye on time but over the course of two days it took probably about 5 hours to do. This was my first complete (actually it isn't quite complete yet) project in Wings. I think I can model faster now since I have overcome some learning obstacles. It was a great learning experience.
