Hey, I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this problem:
I will be working on a scene, and if I don't keep the material Editor window open, a material may become corrupt without me knowing. This leads to the scene becoming damaged beyond repair. So I have to save every couple of minutes in a pre-corrupt state. Also, sometimes, a file with have no corruption, and when I exit the program, and then open it again, a file which previously was pristine now has a material corruption, and can't be opened.
I'm pretty sure it's actual corrupt materials, because if I open the material editor before I open the file, I see it crash in the process of trying to load textures. But, occasionally, a file which I thought was corrupt will load without incident.
Any ideas?
I'm running 3ds max 9, WinXP Pro, 4GB of RAM (although XP only uses like 3?!?), Core2Quad.
