So I'm using a tiled mia_material and overlaying procedurals with the mix8layer shader to blend out the tiling. Well, it seems to work wonderfully, except for that at the end of each render, Maya suddenly adds an intense shine/sparkle to the shader (this is after it has rendered it without said shine).

That shine is not there as it renders, it adds itself after rendering is done. When I don't layer shaders, I don't have this issue, but as soon as I layer the shaders, it does this. Further, I tried this with a regular layered shader and the mia_material and it does the same thing.
Any help/explanation would be mightily appreciated. Thanks!
p.s. I discovered mix8layer yesterday (it's awesome) and was curious if there have been any updates to it in the last 4 years...
