Is loking good.
In my opinion you should improve the texture a bit. It is ok but you can make more diference betwen parts of the gun, or even add screews or a bit of dirty stuff.

some details are a little off i think...
but I dont think you'll have a problem getting into PSQ, they dont have very high demands. some people last year had never even touched a 3d program before.

Argon18: Thanx for the Crits. In what way do u think i should make the parts more diffrent ? I can try and add some dirt , but screws..as u can see on the image zworp posted the famas doesn't have any screws , most weapons nowadays dont have screws and i want to keep it as real as possible but its an good idea. I'll post an dirty version soon so check back soon
Zworp: Cool . What did u think of PSQ ? How long did u stay ? Got a job yet ? I talked to Svenne and he said that some students had found jobs.
What details do u think are a little off ? Do u mean off as in missing or ?
I see u found a good reference image. Its abit different from mine.
Here is my ref image

well PSQ was good, although we didnt have much time from the teachers. since they already got 8hours aday work at tension...
and we didnt get a single guest"föreläsare"...
the course for us was 40weeks or something like that.
no, i havent finished my demoreel yet, so I havent sent any job requests yet.
yes a few student got a job, 3 or 4 perhaps... not a many as last year, but the swedish game industry hasnt been going very good lately.
ill attach a image that marks some areas where you might want to work a little on...

My advice would be to make a better UV texture... not just that blue stuff. If you don't want to, then leave it untextured- the blue is really awful and degrades the whole model.
Could be the low .jpg size, but im not sure ;)
Maybe im mistaken :D

Zworp: Doesn't sound much fun for the teachers or the students , but i hope it will be fun and worth something if i make it. Im gonna apply for 3 periods.
If u finish your demoreel be sure to let me know.
Yeah unfortunatly the swedish game industry isn't going great nor is it big either :annoyed:
I have improved the model in all the areas more or less that u painted out. Some by adding detail to the model and some to the texture. Althrough i havn't improved it enough yet. Don't have time to do more right now. Gonna get some sleep now
rmatlchans: Glad u like it
Gatling: Actually the Famas isn't blue at all. It was the light and render that made it blue-ish. And it ain't just plain color either. Hope u can see some texture detail on this image that i'v attached

it's a great school, although you'll have to learn alot by yourself.
the texture isnt that great, take another look at the photos and try to make your texture look more like them..
anyway, you dont need to work more on the famas if you dont feel like it, your textures will get better overtime I'm sure. Im not very good at texturing myself really.

Much improved in that last render, without the blue
Really looks good now, I can see all the details clearly, and they seem to really be good

Zworp: Sure im cool with learning by myself. i'v done that so far
Well i want to improve the texture so keep the crits comming. the hard part with making the texture look more like in the images is that all of the are taken with a flash or a lightsource which makes the metal very white and blank. It would be nice to have a real famas to look at. But i'll try to make it more realistic and post later on
Im working real hard to improve my skinning ability. Its my sixth skinning/texture work im doing so i think its fairly good imho
Night: As i said above im gonna improve it so check back later
Gatling: Yeah it think it also looks better now. The blue tone made photoshop blur away the detail because of the low jpg quality
Thanx for the C&C all , it motivating me alot

oki, I think you need to paint in more highlights into the texture. compare the side picture I posted and your texture.
it would also be nice if you would add a few polys to the the front grip, where those blobby "ingröpningar" ;)
If you want, post a wireframe and perhaps I can give some feedback on that to.
