Yoshua 06-13-2003, 06:52 PM Hi, here is a 3d creature called Coobah I have just began working on, its in the very very very very early stages. :)
Anyhow I hope you like, made in 3D Studio Max 5 and I made the concept art in Photoshop.
Its now 4:00am as usual  , so I must go and sleep.

Update!
I have just done a bit more work on the model. I still have a fair amount of modeling left to do still, I think. :)
Hope you like, what do you think?
Lol, I never actually thought of what type of creature it was. I firstly just sketched it onto paper, then because I did not have a good scanner or digital camera I just drew it with my mouse in Photoshop and used my sketch as a visual reference.
Im now thinking its a cross between a Bird, Dog and Bull, cause I plan to add horns, which I never drew in my concept.

the only thing i dont like are the toes
are you planning on texturing it?

Yeah, Im planning on Texturing it for sure. I also want to Animate it. I must admit I have done very little Animation and after viewing the Massive Animation (by Mattcioffi) I am really exicted to do so.
First I want to finish modeling. :)
I was not really sure on what to do with the feet, I did not put much detail into them in the concept. My plan was to have them as is, with Claws coming out of the Toes and Heal. I was also thinking of making them like a Cows foot.
What do you think?
Thanks for the comments :wavey:
looking forward to see him textured and even perhaps animated :D
Animating is hard but its fun to do :)
I dont think a 'predator style' claws ( like a hawk ) would suite him mainly because i think he's kinda cute :D
perhaps small claws would look nice, dunno
cows feet would suite him better i guess :)
keep it up

Update!
Firstly I modeled the foot better and also changed some other parts.

In this next pic I gave some more detail to the head, hope you like it.

Do you think I should keep adding lots of detail all over the model? or should I just do that in the Textures?
He is meant to be a pretty nasty creature, thats why I choose this style of foot. :)
Ive still gota add the Arms, Tail and all his Claws too.
Thx for the comments

Finally he has grown some Arms, Tail and Claws, hope you like. :)
Ive still got a bit of modeling to do yet before I start texturing and rigging for Animation.

Hmm, I have not had much of a responce from ppl, how do you think it's coming along? any pointers to enhance the model?
I might actually post the Wireframe pretty soon, let me know if you want to see it. But for now I will leave it until Ive finished modeling. :)
Thx
sweet model :D
one thing that caught my attention is that you have a nice set of wringles below the eye but no real eyelids etc :D
and the amount of details in the body is to low in comparison with the body.
other then that no critiques, coming along really nice :D
cant wait to see it textured

A small update, not much.
I just added a few details here and there, but I now find I need to clean the mesh up a bit.
I really do need to put eye lids or something around the eyes too.
Anyways I think I just need to add a few more details, clean it up and then start texturing.
I hope it ends up as good quality work as others on the forum. :D
