View Full Version : Pyrocluster not working with mograph's cloner object

Hi all,

I'm trying to create an animation of a cheetah running, but the cheetah is made of smoke.

My approach is to animate the mesh using MOCCA in the regular way, then fill the volume of the mesh using a Mograph cloner object that is cloning a pyrocluster emittor to fill the mesh with pyrocluster smoke.

First problem, mograph cloner object does not clone a pyrocluster emittor. I can get round this using some primitive Xpresso but when the mesh animates it is not updating the position of the cloned emittors in the mesh.

I really appreciate any thoughts on the problem.

Thanks

Mark

Instead of a cloner, use a Matrix Object. Set it to Object Mode and using Volume. Then set it to generate Thinking Particles, and then create a TP Particle Geometry set the appropriate groups for both the Matrix and the Particle Geometry(should probably just be set to all). Create a Pyrocluster Shader and a Pyrocluster Volume Tracer. Create an environment object, drop ther Volume Tracer on that, and the pyrocluster material on the Particle Geometry.

Hi, thanks for your reply, that was my first post in the forum, I'm really pleased with the response. I'll try out your idea this evening.
