I need to animate the glow or luminance of an object in a radius starting from 0*-360*.

Think of a volume control with a circular led indicator, this is the effect i want, just can't think of a way to do it !

I tried wrapping a bitmap using a few different projections and moving the band angle, didn't work too well though, any suggestions?

thanks

If you have After Effects you can create a 2D version of the animation and then map that quicktime/img animation onto an EI model.

Ahh nevermind, i managed to do it with cylindrical mapping, just had to rotate the projection a bit, animated the wrap angle, works great.

Ya, I've done that before for radar sweeps, I find that creating a quicktime in after effects and mapping it in EI works really well.
