it would to know if I can create a clone of my polygonal model so as to be able to see without swapping to smooth mode every time for test the model...

in other words, can i create a high resolution mesh that react to my modification on the low instace model?
Thanks

CPS is a very complete toolset for medelling with polys, but they donīt have a free version for Maya 4.5 or 5.0 yet.

You can do this in Maya without any plugin or special scripting:

1. Create a cube (or anyother mesh)
2. Duplicate it
3. Open the Connection Editor
4. Select the first cube and hit the down arrow key (to select itīs shape node). Click on the Connection editor "reload left"
5. Select the second cubeīs shape node by the same way and hit "reload right"
6. Connect the outmesh attributhe on the left column with the inMesh on the right column.
7. You can now subdivide the second cube and every tweak made on the first (low-res) will pass on to the second (smooth)

I guess thatīs it. I will check more about this.
