So, today, before going into tackling the entire modeling of a face that I'm supposed to be doing, I wanted to get down to a primitive understanding of the materials and how they work. This is what I came up with:

There are a few changes I will make when I start modeling the face. for one, the face is of a younger man, and more cartoonish, somewhere in between real and cartoon. The pores are maybe a bit to small on this? Topology could be better. Tear duct needs better material period, it's just weird looking now. anyway, I've been staring at it to long. Crits would be appreciated because I can't keep a good pereception of reality vs the image anymore because I've been working on it for the past sevral hours improving it.
Ah, I almost forgot >.< while the skin texture is mine, until I make my own eye texture, the image I used was created by Krishnamurti Martins Costa and then modified into spec and nor maps ect by me.
