Hello!

I've just made a small lightstreak effect - watch here: http://www.wein-tafelhaus.de/lightstreak

What I don't like is: the motion path seems to be used as a loop. When the streak starts at the beginning point its tail is visible at the end point of the path when the animation begins. How can I avoid this? I'm a beginner.

Thanks for help!

Increase the size otf the path, open the path or animate a mask on top of the streak.
There should be an option for the count of streaks in Vegas, not sure though and can't look into AE right now.

You could simply extend your mask beyond the comp boundaries, couldn't you?! ;-)

Yeah, animating a mask would be one way to do it. Although that doesnt seem straight forward. I supposed there is a simple option in the settings that I just couldnt find ...
Or maybe one line of expression code.
