View Full Version : Rigidbodys - Is There A Limit
Kaiser_Sose 06-13-2003, 07:32 AM Is there some type of limit to how many active rigidbodys can collide with a passive rigidbody, the passive being a nurbs plaine ... does the nurbs plaine have to have more and more patches the more objects you want to collide with it
I have a scene where two aRB collide with the pRB but for no money in the world can I get a third aRB to collide with the pRB ... the plaine just ignores it
I have already deleted the histroy on the plaine so I can not check if it needs more patches or not
Anyone have and idea what is going on here
Thanks

Check what colision layers all the objects are on, try puting them all on 0.

G'day there,
I've just tried the same scenario, and got it to work with 4 aRB's, so somewhere along the line you've 'effed' it, sorry.
If it's a setup that you can't readily re-create, maybe try copying the plane, making it another pRB, link it your 'non-working' aRB's and hide it?
Good luck!

usually all rigid bodies land in collosion layer 0 unless you change that..
seems to be another problem.
did you change anything in the rigid body solver?
cheers

I might have adjusted some settings for to get the desired effect from the first two objects but I do not think I changed anything on the plaine
Anyone who has maya 5 and willing to take a look, I can e - mail the file
Thanks
