I think it looks great,
but it could look even greater :)
what if you made it look more like this, iow,..

-different light setup (hard to explain, the best thing is to experiment)
-more reflection on the branches (or glossy specular)
-less random pins if you can, (the pins on the branches are not quite random, only a little)
-try using a HDR image, just to see the effect of it, it should help also.
-more rounded shape in the front
I love the detail though, if you tweak this to look more realistic it could look really sweet :)

Erikals: thanks for the suggestions. I've tried to achieve most of them: HDRI, reflections, less random (although this can still be improved), ...

Looks much better, more clean and crisp :)
Work a bit on the brown bark, many ppl tend to focus on that area too.
(they look very different, depending on what tree is is,...)
