I don't know of any videos but in the MoBu docs, you have this section:
MotionBuilder 2009 Help (http://forums.cgsociety.org/mk:@MSITStore:C:Program%20FilesAutodeskMotionBuilder%202009HelpMotionBuilder_Help.chm::/WS73099cc142f48755-42a8108711a530ff1d3-6ef.htm) > Animating Characters (http://forums.cgsociety.org/mk:@MSITStore:C:Program%20FilesAutodeskMotionBuilder%202009HelpMotionBuilder_Help.chm::/Animating_characters.htm) > Character setup (http://forums.cgsociety.org/mk:@MSITStore:C:Program%20FilesAutodeskMotionBuilder%202009HelpMotionBuilder_Help.chm::/Character_setup.htm) >
Character Extensions
This may hopefully be what you need.

Try character extentions. You should find some tutorials on autodesks "area" site. (and have a look at the character extentions in motionbuilders help).
Hope this helps

Can i use the extention if the Plates are weighted to a joint in the Skeleton?

If your plates/armor is skinned (controlled) by one or more skeleton nodes, then you would be interested in mapping these nodes to any extension slots that fit your purpose. Since your skinned object derive their movement from the source object, you need only worry about the source (bone).
However, I'm not very familiar with the whole concept of extensions myself, so please excuse me if this was not what you were asking for :)

That what i'm talking about.
The armor plates are skinned to a bone that is parented to the skeleton. When i Characterize the skeleton in Motion Builder there isn't a place for me to tie in the the extra bones for the armor plates.
Well there might be i'm new to MB so that why i'm asking on the fourm.
I did read the MB tutorial on Extention, its has to do with adding a servo arm to a Mia character. thats a little different that what i'm doing since the thing i want to control is allready conected to the Skeleton.
If i know how they build the rig for the Servo arm .. that might be what i need to do. then add it to the MB rig as an extention.
If you know of a what i can get it added as part of the Characteriaition Let me know.
Here is a IS a pic to help with what i'm asking the joint that the Armor plate is skined to is circled in blue
Thanks for any help you can offer
