Yes, in the render palette >> Depth Cue button. You can set the foreground and background in the Depth cue menu below the Depth Cue button.
The trick to have a preview in real time, is to activate the fog, playing with the fog slider and then, copy past the values for the depth cue options. you will have the same result as the fog, but with a depth of field!
