Mah first post! =) Here's a toon shaded short I've been working on. Characters modeled and animated in Animation:Master, Backgrounds (by Francisco Serrano) done in Softimage:XSI.
4.41 meg DIVX 5.01 version (http://demented3d.com/animation/anime-blast.avi)
3.11 meg QT5 version (http://demented3d.com/animation/anime-blast.mov)
Comments/Crits welcomed! (There's no sound, I know..)

Note to administrator: having the board eat your replies because of quick-timing out cookies is extremely annoying.
Short version of original post:
Cel-shading breaks down in a few areas(her vest), and the character outlines/"ink lines" are difficult to make out after video compression.
Action is too "snappy" in some areas; lack of dramatic foci. She should be sliding more to a halt, shaking as she lets that sucker fly, not flashing "V" signs before she pinches it off, etc.
Fix the camera motion as she lets it go; right now it looks like a mushy combination of trucks-n-pans.
The Namek stand-in is really good, but it looks like someone invisible gives him a quick shove as he falls(is he sweat-dropping because he knows her?).
Other than that though, an excellent first post. I look forward to seeing more.

Really nice!! :buttrock:
There are some things that may need work: The expresion on her face doesn't change much, the background doesn't fit the characters well the colours are not really working together and the animation could do with faster action....
...Anyway, I think it a great job and I would really love to see the short being finished!!!
