View Full Version : mayaman license(s) question.

If a studio was going to purchase mayaman and render with 3delight or pixie would they need to have a mayaman lisence for every pc rendering or just for the one that exported the rib file?
im not to familiar with renderman compliant renderers but im asuming you dont need mayaman installed on all computers rendering. but i may be wrong.

you don't need a license for every render-client. you only need a license for the machine on which you're working with mayaman and exporting your rib-files. as far as i know you also get 2 lics to export ribs in cmdline mode. but i'm not quite sure about that, better ask your reseller.
