It's curious. There where many edited out plot holes in the TT film, and it reads here as if the DVD will fill a few of them. I'm anxious to see all the differences.

Leigh:

I don't know if you can be in love with an 87 yr old man anymore :D

The most surprising revelation in the longer Two Towers? That hale-and-hunksome Aragorn is 87 years old. Maybe it's something in that stew.

ever read the books? he lives way beyond his years, and well since arwen is an elfborn she lives longer.. Aargon isn't a "man" as such he's actualy from a very noble line, i'll let you find it out in the Last book.

Actually to make it interesting, he is a direct blood descendant of Arwen's family line.... Look it up, read read read, better than any movie.

I'm not sure about that, He's a nurmerien (i can't member how to spell it and i've taken the books back to the library). He was RAISED by Elrond (arwens family) but he's not from the bloodline. He isn't elf At all I believe, he was raised by the elves however when his father died and his mother went with the elves. And Elrond heard of Aargons Love of his doughter (prolly 40-+ years before this moofie/book) and basicly told him that he'd never have a women, unless he had the scepter of somfin rather (basicly king of Gondor). Then Arwen has a choice to choose to stay in middle earth and then she becomes mortal. And after she does that and marries Aargon he's king for six fold years (i thought it was six, but it has to be longer) And he gives the throne to his son because He doesn't want to rule as a crazy old man, and then Arwen leaves to the edge of Middle earth and sleeps on this mound, which is called somfin special becuase its now enchanted.

basicly thats more then you need :D lol, Aargon is a nurmerien king decendant and has the blessing of years, not atall elf.

Amorano's right, he is a descendant, but some way removed. Elrod had a brother Elros, both were half-elven, the children of Beren and Luthien, I believe. They got to choose, immortal elf or mortal man with a rather long span of life. Elros chose to be mortal and Elrond to be an Elf.

Elros' line became the Numenorians, who Aragorn is descended from. So yes, he and Arwen are distant cousins. Anyway, he lives to about 180 or so (can't remember how long off the top of my head), so 87 makes him a bit of a spring chicken in Numenorian terms.

I'm amazed I remembered that.

I have thank you, all of them as a matter of fact. and now that he brings it up he is right, however That doesn't make him in the bloodline of arwen, becuase he's branched off and not a direct line.

but i ain't gonna fight wit you over it. I wasn't suprised to see that he was old, as I was expecting older.
