I have a scene in which there is an object that I want to use as a indirect light source. I've overridden the ambient color of this object's material to serve me as a light with its final gather cast.
My question is how can I isolate an object so that only it's illuminated by the final gather cast the other object that serves as indirect light. I think It's difficult to explain it with words only so here's a simple render for demonstration.

In this scene I turned on Final Gathering. I want the white object to cast its lighting only for instance to the red box. I don't want the green cylinder & the yellow cone to receive any illumination from the white plane.

Is there a way to do this --without setting the Irradiance Color of both the cone's & the cylinder's materials to black-- Because I want other color casts on them lately.

select the shape nodes of each object, and look at the Render settings. There you can toggle wether you want the object to recieve FG rays or not.

ok but that's not what I need. If I disable ''Final Gather Receive" for an object from the shape node of it how will I be able to cast another color to that object later?
I wish to know if there's an exclude/include feature in maya for lights or final gather cast?

alright. I did some research about this & hope now I will make myself more clear. I want something exactly like "light linking" only in an -object to object basis-
Instead of isolating a light's illumination to a particular object, I want to isolate an object's final gather indirect illumination cast to another object.
