Hey everybody. Ok I'm a complete newbie when it comes to compositing. I have After Effects standard version. I haven't used it as yet because I'm still concentrating on 3D. I going to get Digital Fusion (DFX+) via the newtek/eyeone promotion that's going on right now. I have a couple of questions, like what is the difference between AFX and DFX+? what are the pros and cons? I have heard that DFX+ is node based, what is that exactly? I know that DFX+ is more high end. What is the difference between 8-bit and 16-bit? I think 16-bit is used for film. Is 8-bit used for video and broadcast? Like I said complete newbie. If anyone has anymore info to add, feel free. Thanks in advance.
