Country: Sweden
Software: Photoshop

Just a typical classic historical portrait…but with a surreal twist. Enjoy your cheeze balls! The question is, who is the mouse?
I used personal references for the pose and for the cat paw, I found many refs at http://www.sxc.hu/index.phtml.
Photoshop CS2 and wacom tablet.
Thank you for looking!

Of course! the first image I click on is of you again ;) Nice portrait of a royal mouse. Guesse I'm attracted to royalty. It looks indeed typically hystoric. Good that you add the detail pictures. Always cool to see that even from close it is very detailed. Hmm, do I have a detailfetish too?
My compliments for the fabric you draw. It looks like it's sewed with golden cord. And left under, the blue/redbrown fabric over the chair... very magically lighting.

Yeah, the watermark is terrible. If you're afraid people will steal your images don't post them on the internet at all. Look at what the best artists do, they sign they don't deface their work.
Anyways, the piece is nice, the main characters are very unique. Reminds me a bit of another artist who posts here called Kirsi Salonen actually. The only thing besides the watermark which I don't like is the paw. While the idea is great the execution didn't work out too well imo.
Good luck!

Peraiia: I bow to my queen, thank you for the kind words!
Jassar and niva: Yes, I'm sorry about the watermark, it's been a lot of thieving going around, so it's very hard to know what to do, and lately I've seen even wellknown artist watermark their work. I'll see if I can come up with something better. Thank you very much for your input!

nice work susi, just a few nitpicks,i think her forearm is abit too long in proportion of
her hands?perhaps you idea was to in corperate the feature of mouse into her as mention in the title of this work
i would avoid using too much black as shadows although it will result the painting in a better
contrast.that little mouse is very cute tho:)and the details on the neck piece is nice.keep up the good work,i look forward to see more from you

Thank you for the comment, yes, I know the fore arm looks a bit too long, indeed I wanted her to look at first glanze as a girl, but as second glanze a bit twisted, like a mixture of human/rat or mouse. I also had some problems with the different foldings of the dress at that arm, so I agree, the arm looks too long. I understand wht you mean with the dark shadows, the whole image went just to dark as I changed the colors and saturation along the way, I apprechiate your thoughts and will keep them in mind!

Very nice classical feel to it, with a twist... like this one a lot! The background is a bit of a shame though and her beads don't integrate well with the rest of her piece. Just small things really (no pun intended)

Thank you for your thought, it's apprechiated! The beads aren't beads, they are cheese balls, so that's why they look a bit odd and the background...well, I like it this way.;)
