This is my first complex object that I have done in maya
so let me know what you think or what needs to be
changed. I know that are a few items missing such
as the mirrors and the interior of the car (thats
why the windows are not completely see-through.

For first complex 3d, this is pretty damn good. You should be proud. Good work.

Now, on to the crits:

The wheels just aren't right. At the very least, put a cylindar in the middle. :)

Oh, shucks, I don't have a lot else to say than that, 'specially for a first time (hardish) model. If you get the wheels/rims fixed, it's a spitting image for any number of WIPs. And you look like you have the ability to take it from there, too.

It's a fine start, and I'd keep with it. Do post a wire, though, wouldn't you? That would help us give some geometrical crits.

Cheers,

I would agree with TWooster, great frist job. The only things I can see wrong in general are things that come along with experience (as with anything). The more you do the more towards realism or towards believability you'll get, and I think this shows you have what it takes to get there.

I'm still very new (just posted my second attempt at a model) so I can't offer much technical advice, but I'd say keep at it.

Thanks Tony and java for the feedback. I will be working on it more for the next few weeks!! I guess to make a wire screen shot of it I need to make a screen shot of it, correct? I am actually thinking about changing the rims and tires to the factory style... do you think that is a wise idea?

Thanks again for the feedback!

Thanks
Rick

I have noticed that other vechiels that have been posted on here look very realistic, what can I do to mine to give it a much more realistic look....right now it seems to have a more plastic look to it!!

yep... I mean I have done some tutorials but this was the first one I did on my own. I am hoping to start working on the interior so that I can change the windows to look like windows.. Hey ZVAN do you have anything posted?
