i just wanted to show off something i'm doing for my showreel...

It's my first attempt on realism in maya, since i've only used the package for just over a month i think... maybe two?
I'm looking for a job, preferbly in london, so let me know if this exites you :D (well, not in that way!!!)

Hey, looks cool, nice textures.

Is this going to be a dynamic simulation? that would be very cool :)

thanks! I'm thinking of animating it at some point, but for now it's just for my showreel, that has to be done by monday, since i'm going to london on tuesday with it !!! and it renders REALLY slowly, so there's not alot of time for trial and error etc :D i can render about 100 frames per night on a dual xeon 2.4 at work... dammit!

I've got some updates:

I love table soccer
Very nice picture. The only thing that could use improvement is the chrome texture on the bar.

no not really m8 ;)

Please change the texture of the floor, it looks really unrealistic and weird. The players look ok, but they look really sad :D
All the other textures also seem very unrealstic.

But still good idea and you have the skills to make it REALLY cool
Go on :)
