View Full Version : Advanced Toon Shaders
MaJoRoesch 10-31-2008, 04:25 AM I just found this, and wow. http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=95491
Blender has one awesome toon shader!
How do I get 3ds max to get that kind of result? The built in ink and paint doesn't have the kind of control blender offers. I assume I'll need a 3rd party plugin or shader.

You can try cebas FinalToon, IMHO the very best toon and NPR plugin in MAX. Pretty useful and chock full of options.

well it sure looks nice as a still, but the real question is how does it look in motion? that's what separates the men from the boys IMO

Doesn't finaltoon require finalrender?
And that effect looks great in motion. The guy has the model for anyone to download and as bryce is free I fired it up and toyed with it. It works and looks fantasic.
