so ,
this is my very first Aeroplane
and pretty much my very first complex Mechanic modeling
so its being pretty hard ,so far like 5-8 hours of work (yup.. alot ,because i am not sure exactly what modeling to use.. so i get stuck alot :) )

anyways ,here it is
this is a really important model actually ,since
its a tryout for the Army 3d department ,so
i really need you to crit me harsh ,i mean really rip it a part

so here it is ,

While ,mering both sides of the aeroplane , i made a small mistake in the back of the cockpit ,so don't pay attention to it :)

Hey man,

not looking too bad. Keep in mind when it comes to jets or machinery of anykind i'm really blind...so here goes.

Where the engine/booster tips are the body looks a little odd, just where the wins attach to the body...maybe it should be thicker?
On the refs it just looks wider than on the model :)

Good Stuff, keep it up

hmm ,i think you mean the back part and the engines?
well the engines are pretty much just standing there right now :)
and all the back part is not touched really (cuz i am a bit confused of how its really built..lol), so yea its not made yet :)

thanks!

looking ok so far.. only thing looking odd would be the "neck" of it. i think its too thin compared to the picture..

also where the "neck" extends towards the wings, i think it could be a bit wider and also rounder..

dun have photoshop here right now or i would do a quick draw over..

The cockpit looks a bit narrow and merge with fuselage too smoothly. The leadingedge of your wings is thick.

You can get the hi-res su-27 blueprints at here:

So far it looks good. I have a problem with the back and the engines. I would Make a curve that mimics the edge of each plate that covers the engine and connects it to the body of the plane. That way you can then loft a surface across the curves then break up the surface and convert into polys. That is if you are using NURBS.

The backs of the engines are called turkey feathers. They are formed of a bunch of overlapping plates, like the feathers on a bird's tail. These expand and contract slightly when you throttle up/down. Kind of like one of those veggie steamer things. Be glad you are doing a 27 and not a 37, thrust vectoring is annoying to model in if you don't understand the way it works.
Also, I'd model the airbrake, given that you seem to have done the other control surfaces.

this is not the most recent ,i have atached everything in the back..

maybe its just the material but that white nose should be as wide as the part it attaches to methinks. right now it looks a bit stuck on

also that thing sticking out at the back should be wider and looks rather weird in general right now.
