When did this happen?

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=63608&package_id=60587&release_id=635304

Its only on 2008 sp1 though. Anybody checked it out yet?

Is that for real?, I didn't know prendeman could run on 64 bits..., I think it's time to check that thing... (if my system administrator let me install it).

Don't know for windows, never used it there, but prman for linux64 has been available for a while now, as is 3delight.

Yeah, I was thinking about winXP 64 OS, that's the only reason I am not passing away Mental Ray in order to fall in love with renderman :)

Please, can someone explain me what's that kind of stuff? I'm trying to make liquids like water on Maya2008 but it's quite impossible with fluids, and for what I could read the new nParticles on Maya2009 it's not so well developed as expected.

Fabrizio, this topic has nothing to do with fluids ;)

It's an exporter for rendering from MAYA to renderman compliant renderers.

really.. does Pixar know that? Oh wait.. you're referring to the fact that you can run the 32 bit version in Win64 using a 32 bit version of Maya. Not really a great choice. RPS 14.0 (just released) FINALLY supports maya64. Luckily 3Delight supports x64 and the 64bit version of Maya (including 2009).

Yeah, you can run prenderman on winxp64, but in 32 bit mode, I was refering to use MAYA 64 and prenderman 64...

ya no such thing at least before RPS 14 which was just released. The offshoots like RfM and RMS won't be available until late next year.
