Hello virtuoso and fist!! Looks like you guys are doing a really great job in here...Lots of style, details, and what seems to be an enormous vision. Fantastic stuff thus far. Now I'll make some suggestions... Not sure how far you're going to take the texture work on frumpys head but at the moment it seems a little too uniform...one texture for too many objects. Would be cool to see some different metals in there. Also all of the head details seem a little too perfect and aligned. Maybe bend a few or slightly twist some peices for a more beat up "I've killed a thousand aliens" kinda look :). His body and boots are coming along great...I do think some more details added to his chest and dress would balance him out. I also liked fellahs suggestion for the boots but thats more of a style thing. The ship is looking great not much to crit there at the moment.....I'll have to see how it all fits together...The walking gun is very nicley done and probably my favorite part so far...I just love the intricate details on it!! I can't wait to see this finished!! You guys are doing top notch work in here....keep it up and keep posting updates!!

Janhath,Franky,Onsloh,gregwid............Big thanks,you keep us pumped.Really nice compliments,thanks very much.

DimitrisLiatsos & AntNik: My two fav Greek Gods, and wonderful artists,it means alot to get praise from you two talents. Thanks for the support,it means very much to us.

Dancing Monkey:...Yes the design was done with this intent,a caricature,a Realistic toon. Thanks for coming by.

Fetus23:....Thanks for the very nice compliments. As for your questions:The head texture is done in a very Non-uniform manner, handstakeingly painted in Photoshop,blemishes,wrinkles,moles,etc,etc... done in many layers,we in fact have given a lot of thought on keeping it non-uniform.We will go a little extra still to create even more havoc.
As for the Eye/head gear textures: There are almost an endless amount of modeled pieces in there, intricate is the word here, sunken screws a real ton of seperate pieces individually modeled.
In fact all the pieces you see "Have" been seperately textured,we should know,it seemed endless while doing the texturing. We made it imperative to keep things different, individual.Sure some pieces are the same parts, scaled etc,etc...they rust pretty much the same. But we did give this a whole lot of individual texturing.
We did not want to give too,too many different blends in the texturing, due to the fact that they would become too glaring in there appearance. We wanted to keep the texturing to have the same overall blend with there colors, but at the same time give them all still a unique difference. But oh yes they are all many seperate textures, tons of individual textures.
Also the body textures will give him quite the extra detailed look,I don't want to go overboard,I still want to keep it stylistic, smooth in enough places,I like that kind of balance.
Thanks for your help and very nice compliments as well,it's always great to have you around.

Vladvrz,Scottosh: Big thanks, too, too kind, look for some heavy duty modeling real soon.

Pigwater:....Much too long no see. It's very nice to hear from you once again.Don't be such a stranger,Pm me sometime, enter another challenge soon too.
Your words in your post are like a great poet, really, not only very flattering, but very well put,and funny. And yes "LOL" I always try to keep them crabs out of my shorts, the earthquakes I can do nothing about. Thanks very much for coming by.

Ok,we will be back later tonite with more advances in our creations.I plan on showing a small portion or item WIP of the Steed of Steel, also texturing on the Frumpy body is going well,we;ll show it this week too.Expect Fist to return as well with updates in a couple days.

Thanks again for the wonderful feedback and very generous compliments, they are very much appreaciated.

Joe Bount: Thanks very much.Glad you like the details.Don't be concerned with the rather stiff pose however,I just gave the lil' guy a very basic rig.A full on full blown rig is coming,he'll be flexible soon enough. Thanks again.

Katss:...You are too kind, but still it makes it ll the better for us to work even harder.Thanks.

........................................................................................

I thought it would be a good idea to gather a few of the WIP's we posted earlier in one place.Just so it would make it easier to see things at once a little more easily,at least until it's all put together in the end. Plus it will be a much easier task than scrolling through tons of pages.

Looking great.I love the attention to detail, but it's also the clean work and the no-short-cut attitude that brings it up to the high level it's in. But most of all it's the extra polish and imagination I love the most. You just cannot teach that, you have to have it inside.Looking forward to more.

Very cool.

Well as I have said before it's breathtaking, from any which way you want to look at it.The vision here is spectacular.

Thank's again for the wonderful comments,it's very nice to hear, you are really helping in the drive to get us to the finish line.

Yes there is another transport coming other than the one shown by "fist" earlier. It is Frumpy Jowls Transport The Steed of Steel.

I have actually finished the modeling of this quite ambitious transport. However it's like a jig-saw puzzle at the moment. Many, many intricate pieces. However I have just commenced on puting these pieces together.I will show the transport coming together in WIP form in the next days.It should be finished by Monday,so expect many up-dates.Texturing will then also be finished with Frumpy Jowls body and then we can commence on the Transports texture work.

At that time too I will start in on a environment with mysterious fortress.

It's coming along as planned to this point. We will do our best.Expect a up-date in a few hours....About bedtime 4:Am ,the usaul CG late night hours.;)

Thanks again all.....................See you very soon.

Hello again Virtuoso (and brother), fist.
Nice work lads, I can't keep up with you really. But I got a spare moment inbetween animations right now.
First fist really like that ship. The clash between old and new is so nice. Have you tried an uglier join between the gadget and the ship, with screws and a even more homemade feel to the attaching part?
The mechanics in all the parts is so nice, I like the fact that it actually works. Wich brings me onto the subject of that cockpit, wich is nice. But in my eyes lacks one thing, a footrest. Right now he needs to be strapped quite hard to that chair(?) to be able to take full advantage of it. I think a small footrest would make it even more beliavable.
Second Virtuoso. The sheer amount of detail in your work is overwhelming. Wich brings me to the subject of texturing, to not loose all your work spent on modelling by having a texture that is to varied. Right now the textures for frumpy's headgear looks a bit to spotty, how about making them almost non textured but vary the colour more. Have the actual headgear/strap that attaches to his head white (or something) and the small gadgets sticking out alternating between black and some brighter colour.
That would help distinguish the different parts much more, I think they are lost in that uniform colour of your texturing. And as SEL (was it?) said, I think that background does distract the viewer a bit to much.
I really like frumpy's hands, his body and arms I am a bit unsure of. I'll wait until a more detail model arrives before giving any serious critique.
Maybe you should add a emergency detach button or something for that walking shooter, could potentially be very dangerous to be that attached to it. I should add that that walking shooter is very nice, the look/feel everything of it.

I think you've had enough superlatives on these pages, so I'll stop here. Good work!

cheers.

Kenter & AntNik:Big thanks. And yes AntNik you are certanly a detail man yourself, your work inspires me everytime I see it.

Mikael P.: Thanks very much for the compliments. Also your crits are always appreaciated and looked into, without doubt great to have your extra pair of eyes at anytime. There is more to come, with time limits as I know you know this very well I'll try and get all to a more perfect level.More to come on all you have seen, and also some new fun creations.

Thanks a ton for taking the time to help.warthog is lucky to have you,as I have said before, thanks again.

Blade FX: It's coming, and it's coming fast and hard. It's been in production for sometime now.But just pieces, bits and pieces,a real jig-saw puzzle. But I have ben putting these pieces together.I should finish Frumpy's transport this Monday. But will show about 4-5 up-dates till then.Promise.

Ok thanks again all,it's all very much appreaciated.

Up-date coming up in a few minutes. Thanks again.

Here is the 'STEED OF STEEL".................Frumpy Jowl's Trusty transport.

I believe that besides the look and extras you can give a character an added gadget,transport,side-kick are essentail to creating a memorable games ICON.

For example Batman had the bat-mobile,and well I thought that Lil' Frumpy Jowls too should get a fun toy.

There are what seems to be endless pieces to this Steed of Steel. It's like the Worlds largest Jig-saw puzzle actually.I have created the pieces,I now am putting them together. It will be for about 5 more days,I'll try and up-date it's growth each day.

It's quite large,a zany, contraption really. No shortcuts on the details, where would the fun be with that.

:p

The part you see below is an "EXTRA COCKPIT".It moves in and out of the actual Transport itself. The main cockpit is situated inside the Steel Steed itself.

This part is actually a small piece of the transport,an added gadget/toy.It can rotate and move along a monorail track. The whole contraption can move in and out of the actual transport. It looks much more effective when seen with the transport,it is more visually impressive too when you see it hang high above the lands below.

So the first part of the "Steed of Steel".......Much more is done already,I will piece it together and get a few up-dates in the coming days.Architecture of unusual design etc,etc...

remember it's a WIP,so some added work is yet to come. Also stay tooned for more of the foundation of the actual transport itself. Thanks for hearing me out,and for all the support.

I like it very much. Worth waiting for.

Isn't that seat too small?
I think it's too small for a human to fit, if you'd compare it with the handles and height sear <-> handles.
+ Shouldn't there be pedals of some sort. At lease someting to place the feet on.

Well it's been a while since the last update. But all is well,we have continued working quite hard. It's all coming along well enough we like to believe,at least.

First a big thanks to all that have replied with such kind words and tips to help us out with our creations,it's always very much appreacited and very helpful in our creative process.

A quick breifing, we will have the "Steed of Steel" Frumpy Jowls transport complete by late Wednesday.Textures will follow in the following week.

The textures on Frumpy himself and his walking gadget/weapon will also be complete by Wednesday,a good day that day will be.

Also the statues Jack Squat & his faithful sidekick Checkmate texture work is complete, remember they are very detailed but still will be just "Props" in our scene.

I will show a WIP of the transport tomorrow, and then a finished (un-textured) version on Wednesday. It's a ton of pieces,a jig-saw puzzle really, but the pieces are starting to fit now.An up-date and first look at the transport is coming tomorrow.

After this a week will be spent on the "Fortress" and environment, modeling and texturing. That should give us a couple days to spare.:p

Fist...............Will be showcasing more of his Fugitive and his transport too in the coming days,so stay-tuned.

OK again thanks for the great help and even kinder words,we will see you tomorrow.

I'm also back with an update. It's the fugitives head this time. I spent some quality time on it and consider the modling finished now. on to the lower body...

the image...
http://www.k-dump.net/files/wip/gameicon/alien09_turnShot.jpg

..and i also decided to render a turnaround, pretty helpful if you ask me. if you feel like it, take a close look and crit anything you want. But.. proportions and look are intended. he's not a human!

alien09_turnAround.avi (divx4, 1mb) (http://www.k-dump.net/files/wip/gameicon/alien09_turnAround.avi)

Virtuoso will show the completed transport over the coming days, stay tuned and keep pushing us

Hey that turn around is a big step up from that still.Did you have the camera move around the character?I think so,because of the light.Cool, just maybe give him more of an upper lip.
By the way is it two vessels,4 characters and all this in one scene? And how the Hell will you guys have time to do an environment with structure too?
Well it all is fabulous,I hope you can get it all in one scene.Really well done throughout.

Aearon
07-02-2003, 02:25 PM
hehe well the still is just an open gl screenshot so... of course the rendered turnaround looks better :)

I kinda like the upper lip the way it is, but maybe i'll try something else later.

And yes... it is 2 vessels, the fugitive, frumpy and his mechanical companions, the statues, the fortress and environment.

Everything's going pretty well and i think we'll make it within the deadline

btw, i've almost finished the fugitives body now, i'll show something off in a few hours

thx for the compliments from you as well

i know the colors seem a little too saturated, but he's supposed to wear friendly and bright colors. next step is adding more 'decoration'.

he also looks a little stiff / anxious right now (shoulders pulled up, eyes wide-open), that'll change once i rig him

Allright he looks cool.A little like a genie, how many wishs does he grant the finder of his vessel?;)
The hands and the details look very nice.I think when posed and in his vessel with all the other models shown it will be bitchin.Hey what about that update of the other vessel too.:p
Well anyways it's a magnificent thread to have been following, really unique and top rate modeling etc.
By the way maybe some jewelry or some kind of decoration for the guy could be cool too, just a thought.Good stuff.

Frumpy's new best friend the "Fugitive",oh the journey through L'Eternel they will take will be something for the legends.

Rig,textures will really make him standout.I think he will be wonderful to see in the transport you have created. Tip: Runes, sigils?By the way the turn around is very cool,it does the Fugitive great justice.

Looking very good indeed Fist.Just get him to the finish line. Will you go for handpainted textures in PS or Painter? If so I'll Pm you about alot of details that might be of some help.OK cool going, just fine tune him now,not far off now.very well done.

Ok I'll be back later with a look at another part of the Steed of Steel Frumpys transport. The whole transport will be un-veiled tomorrow.Textures are also complete for Frumpy himself and his walking weapon/gadget and the statues or props for the final scene. The fortress also has begun with preliminary modeling.

OK back later in the wee hours of night with a little update, then tomorrow with a large one.See you then.

And again thanks to all for your great and kind comments,we really do appreaciate your help and encouragement.

Here is a rather small up-date.I have allmost all the "Steed of Steel" pieces together, finishing touchs will be done tomorrow.

I have to assemble the quite complex wings structure and then I will post it.So it's very close now. It's very late here, and to get a WIP up now would be no sleep instead of at least a little.

We will post alot tomorrow and the next days on the Transport Frumpy Jowls Steed of Steel.Frumpy Jowls with textures along with his walking fighting body-gaurd weapon gadget. The statues too are ready for the final scene.

On Friday I will start to create the fortress & environment for the scene, while the texturing will commence for the transport. We will get as much done as possible without compromising quality.

OK,here is the Rudders and rear controls for the transport the steed of steel. Just to give you a little something until I can post lot's more tomorrow and beyond.

Nice rudders.

I still get the impression that the seat of the cockpit is too small compared to the handles, and that there should be pedals for the feet. It's quite practical on a rotating device.
Just my thoughts

Waiting for you updates

Well just finished the modeling of the "Steed of Steel",Frumpy Jowls Transport. It's 4:30 AM here, another late night CG fest.:p

To get some decent shots will take a little time,so I'll get them up tomorrow or should I say later today/tonite after I get some 4th of July fun out of the way. I'll get deeper into the scene/Fortress just after that as well, plus start posting some full textured shots of Frumpy and the statues.

So until later today,I'll see you then.Fist should be showing off some more as well quite soon,so stay-tuned.:)

Thanks again for the great comments,we are at the stage where we can start really showing alot more, lots of loose ends have been wrapped up.Thanks and see you later today.

Hi Virtuoso bros... Well let me first say that i'm very impressed every time I discover a new pic. Such a creativity in the modelling ! I really enjoy that style : tubular parts, knut and bolts everywhere on steel structure... ... It reminds me some kind of old engine which used to be constructed in Europe at the end of the XIX century.... But they're also something that strikes me when i see your wireframe.... aren't there too many polygons ? Sometimes, I don't understand why there is a high number of subdivisions.... and it make your modelling not really...economic ! Isn't the rendering too long ??
Anyway, I really appreciate your personal touch, this is a single one, which can't be imitate and I enjoy people who follow their ideas creating their own style without being satisfied by making things that already made hundreads time before.

Hi there Virtuoso,
well finaly alle the small pieces together. It looks realy well designed and works well like a one object. I agree that the chair in the cocpit is a bit to small, i think it should look more safe since this is a flying machine and there is a risk of falling down. Maybe more like jet pilots seats, but in your XIX style. I cant imagine the final piece, you'v got so many object woth seeing that you could make a few finals. Ok nothing to crit more, im wainting for textures cuz, this is what brings something in to life. Wish you patience with all the details my advice is to use procedurals sinc they dont rquire unwraping-just a thought.
Take care and good luck

You got enough here for a whole portfolio already, and high quality at that.Brilliant job.

thanks so much you guys, we're so glad you like what we've done for this challenge, it sure was a lot of work.

Oz: you're one of my favorite artists around here, so your praise means a lot !!

Iguiniz.X.: thanks a lot man. we always showed our own work in our posts, so it's quite easy to seperate (and it's quite easy to see that virtuoso is an ill work-horse)

pigwater: thanks a lot to you too. :)

Kenter: Thanks a lot for the compliments. In the final shot everything will be textures, and yeah the environment is in the works at malibu beach

ok guys, i got bored and already programmed half the game. what you see in this animation is one of our many mini-games, called grab-the-box.. the graphics will be a lot better of course ;)

grabthebox.avi (2.76MB, divx4) (http://www.k-dump.net/files/wip/gameicon/grabthebox.avi) it's worth it!

actually this is the gripper, controlled by 3dsmax's mouse-motion-capture feature (i animated the flyover in a few secs and then actually flew over the boxes, controlled the arm with the mouse and gripped with the space bar), just a quick animation for fun :D

OZ: You and me the true steam punk lovers...your words mean alot. Thanks very much.

Iguiniz.X.: great for you to have finally found us here.I am happy you liked our eforts. Thanks, and I hope to see more of you here in the future, the place is only better with you around.

pigwater...Thanks Pigwater,it's very kind of you to give such great words. As for a PC well we are actually getting together a renderfarm just after this challenge. Then we can go really crazy with massive World building/creation.Thanks for the support.

Kenter:Yes a building and environment are still coming,I really wish they would have at least given us a small extension of a few days,I would have been able to really give this more detail and depth, but still we will have something.Frumpy Jowls is textured, along with his body and weapon, tons of texture work there let me tell you from head to toe. Thanks for the great words too.

Fellah...What you been vacationing for leaving us to do all the work............Shame on you. Thanks for coming in and giving us such nice comments, you are getting too nice I think.Big thanks again friend,I really hope to see more from you here in challenges and WIP's.

katssThanks as well, yes as many textures as possible are coming.Look for as many as we can get in within the next days, and if we get an extension of a couple days or so all of them.Cross your fingers for an extension. Thanks for your support as well.

fetus23You like our style huh?Well that means alot, due to me always liking yours in your work. Thanks for the kind words. It all means alot to us.

genesis max: Big thanks, very happy you like our efforts.I am still hoping to see more from your creation as well,if not here then take it to WIP section,it has lots of potential,I saw that early on,it would really be worth your time, muscles looked really well defined already even in an early state. Thanks for coming by with support, you are too cool.

Swag Well we will get done what we can,if not all then we will work after the challenge for an extra 3 days or so to get it finished and then put it in the WIP section, and then for a very large plan of ours after that....I already wish I was on that creation. Thanks for coming by with such nice support so many times,it means alot to us.

FIST: Now that was alot of frames, what's next............a full length LOTR type movie?Very nice once again,I am always more impressed with you,and your work ethic and your great attitude, plus your talent and knowledge.Very nice once again, see you very soon.

Dirk P hoe: Hehe....Fist should be along to thank you very soon.....;)

Hey there guys, it's coming along great. My favourite would have to be the bat winged type flying contraption. The mechanics for this one as well as everything else is extrodinary, you all manage to squeeze in so many details.

But, the deadline is now coming in fast, I can't wait to see how you pull everything together. The final stretch of the comps are always great to witness as we will finally get to see how people bring together their visions . . . this one will be quite something!!

Keep up the marvoulous work guys!!

janhath..........I have about 4 updates coming in the next two days.An environment test, first in a few hours. And then late tonite (Is there ever an early night in Cg ;) ) a full textured look at frumpy Jowls.

Then tomorrow a couple more updates. We will show as much as we can get done. Thanks for your support.

Apt pupil: Thanks, you know actually I have had to compromise some of my vision or original thought due to time constraints. But for me this has been great to get 3 more high detailed characters and another transport into my portfolio as added pieces to go with my private project and to go with my new project coming up just after this challenge. We will gt it as close to the finish line as we can. Thanks for the compliments.I also look forward to your always brilliant work in the games design section and the 2D section.I think they are already sooo very cool.See you soon, and thanks.

Steve yola: More texture work is coming.as much as we can get in without compromising our work.So look for it real soon. Thanks for the comments, very kind of you.A couple websites are coming ,one for personal work and the other for a massive private project we have been creating for 12 months out of the last 16,lots to show, but we can only do so in november when the NDA is lifted, due to the fact it is based on my up-coming novels.Ok thanks again.

Ok back with an update in about 3 to 4 hours, and then another in about 12 hours, the usual late night Cg time.:p

Big thanks to all.

Some whacked out gonzo modelling I see. Very nice... a good clean job. The old fashioned flyer is very original. It would be good to see them both in a more dynamic shot... swooping down from the clouds or something. I look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve for the final render.

A few Frumpy jowls pieces of his armor and other parts too will be shown in a just few minutes as well. Then tomorrow we will show Frumpy Jowls fully textured along with his trusty sidekick his walking weapon/gadget.We are busy rigging Frumpy and the statues the best we can until deadline and texturing the transport.Fist also will be showing an update of his transport and his character the Fugitive.

Then the final shot on Saturday,so look for another 3 updates beyond this until the final deadline. Thanks alot for the continued support..................here is a small piece of the final environment and shot...

This is looking nice Virtuoso. I like the colours, just a quick thought for you for the final piece. Those clouds make the set look like a minature. They are way to big for that set.
On their own they are really nice but you need to scale them down if you are going to keep that backdrop.
The ship is so nice Virtuoso, looking forward to the final piece :)

oh and I like the ship fist, coming along real nice. I still think some kind of belt or fotrest would be suitable for your character, otherwise ignorant people like me or others may just think you missed it ;).

Amazing man, just amazing. That's what i expected of you Virtuoso. Your talent is bursting and evolving. Environment is really cool, atmosphere of the place is great, only critiques goes to color choices, brown color is all over the place, a little bit too uniform. Dominant color is OK but you should have some other colors to break it, to make it look more interesting. I think you can do it in final render when it all comes in one place, don't take this critique as something bad, i just want to see final render as good as it can be, and from you i expect nothing less than fantastic work. Keep the good work bro, and keep that updates coming.

Mikael P....You have an a third eye don't you?You see all.Yes this is a test run,a quick look, the real finished sky will be scaled properly. Thanks for the compliments and watching our backs.Always nice to hear from you.

As for the overall project: We had a full fledged scene with quite a piece of architecture already done. But due to time contraints we decided to go a quicker route. If we had pursued the original plan we would have needed another 3 days.So we went with this,it's really nothing more than a back drop/background.Colors will be adjusted, but we wanted a blend of stone and natural terrain, more inbetween colors are very simple, but that requires more time still, and with all the rest 3 characters with high levels of detail and the transport a quicker option was our choice. It's really just a bonus, the extra portfolio pieces in this for us are the three characters and transport.

I'll post a few extra Frumpy Jowl body pieces in a moment. Also the full body tomorrow fully textured, and then the transport and final.Ok...........see you soon, and thank-you all very much for your compliments.

Here are a few pieces of Frumpy Jowls armor etc,etc...

Look for a full version of him tomorrow all textured. The armor is a speacial type substance created by Frumpy Jowls, one of his many experiments. It's a cross of Kevlar and LOTR's Mithral...I wanted it to take on the appearance of being rugged."Not machine shop created".Somehting put together or sewn together.

Here is a little look, expect another couple updates tomorrow. Thanks again for all the support.

i think the guys made a big mistake with the challenge clock.. the only way to explain how the times can be different for everyone is that i takes the local computers time to calculate the deadline (which is quite likely if they used a typical java timer)

i guess they will have to accept entries from people whoe post within 'their' timers' deadline

*edit* i just checked, the timer changes if you change your clock

first of, once again. some very nice work have been made here by all three of you. I'm glad you joined this challenge, it added alot to it imo.

I like most of the separate rendered images you have shown, but the final dont make justice to it all. but, I understand how hard it must have been to add all those objects and polygons into one scene. and I'm also almost sure that the final image dosent mean much to you compared to all the work you've got done this month :)
and I'm also sure that most of the "jury" who will "place the winners" will get a chance to look at the separate images you submitted here to, atleast now as you submitted them once again in the end. so they will probably see what you have made and all the effort in it anyways..

finaly, I hope the mods will let your image through.. I'm sure they will. they cannot be that hard on the rules in a challenge like this where we do this for fun, and concerning all the time you spent on it. and as you said, your clock showed "3 hours left" so it's not more than fair anyways.

well, goodluck with the submiting, the challenge overall, and your personal project

thanks again guys. some parts of the final really had to be rushed (esp the fugitive textures and frumpies transport), but as fellah mentioned you still have the seperate models to judge.

i don't have word from virtuoso on it yet (he just reported the problem to me a few hours ago and then went to sleep for the first time in several days) but now the final shot is on the challenge site, i guess one of the mods put it up there. a big thanks for that

the challenge clock issue was new to me and kicked up a lot of confusion, i'm sure you guys will take care of that for the next challenge.

*edit* ok didn't see his post, i have virtuosos word now, it's as i thought.. the mods cleared up the issue and everything's fine now

Virtuoso Bros & Fist .. just wanted to congradulate you on an incredible entry .... utmost props to all of you

first off, the final image does not do it justice .. there is no way that a single image could even come close to showcasing all the work, imagination and talent that we all know was involved in this .. utterly outstanding stuff ... i am pulled to the individual images which really display your fabulous work

the devil is in the details and you kicked it's ass with this ... my mind still swims with the amount of work you all put into this ... and from what it looks like you set a record with thread views ...

you gave us all an extremely entertaining and educational ride and it was a lot of fun to watch & i' sorry it's over:applause:

thanx for the show & good luck in the polls , where i know you will do quite well

now go catch some waves ...you all deserve some major time off :wavey:

Thanks to all of you for the very nice words,we really do appreaciate it very much.We have a few extra creations for our portfolio, the kind that can surround our main work and the up-coming project we plan on doing. We will also show about a years worth of work this November.I wish I could show you this,we are very proud of it,but it is based on my up-coming novels and I have an NDA on it until then.

We had fun, and gained some extra pieces to our portfolio. And had a great time here with all the other challengers and supporters of our efforts.

Also Fist was a fantastic partner in both talent and attitude, great guy with more brains then Einstien. It was great working with him, and we hope to get together again for something speacial I have in mind(Did you here me Fist;) )

Ok good luck everyone,I'll be seeing you all soon I know, and it was very fun. Thanks very much for all the support and great words.

See you very soon.

Fantastic job guys, you really made a show on this challenge, everybody was anxious to see what you will do next, what really stands out here is consistency from story, concepts, modeling, texturing and rendering. So much talent here, it is simply exploding.
And Virtouso don't forget to PM me when those novels, new creations and work come out.Year of work, wow that must be much, can't wait to see it all. ]

first of all i folowed through the stages of your work and i realy learned and got inspired.

second i think that it the end frame you tried to work on every thing and put everything together in one frame and i fill that it does show the potential of your work

inspite of what i said i thing that jumping higher than you can is the best way, true some times you fall on your ass
but eventualy you will get higher than others

i realy hope to catch you on the next one:beer:

I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing that stuff in an animation! There was simply too much to show in a single image. :)

Aearon
07-22-2003, 07:40 PM
zenzmurfy: there will be more! we will continue to work on our world, but we'll leave the final image as it is for now. i would have loved to see everything finished according to our original plan, with the coral fortress and mesas and all, instead of the rushed backdrop. but the individual creations are more important to us: we are already working on other parts of L'Eternel, so we'll be able to use all these guys and vessels again :)

We are all the more gratetful for your interest in our creation and of course all the votes! thanks to all of you!

yep, great single piece but i'm missing all those fine details in the final picture, thats such a shame for all your great work...
i guess an Animation with Cloesups would be awsome :)

He wants for you all to look for him and many more Scalawags within the World of L'eternel very soon.Major plans are being ironed out this very moment.

A very big thanks to all once again. It's very much appreaciated.
