View Full Version : Is the 4D manual an actual book?
modestmouse 06-12-2003, 04:08 AM I was just thinking while filling out my 4D order form if the manual (which I have heard is a very good thing to read before starting with 4D) is an actual book so I could read it without having to sit at my computer.
Thanks

Hi. Yes it is a very big book-1000+pages. It comes with the program. Also each module you get comes with a seperate book(much smaller) explaining the additional features. Great to read before or while getting started. I have read tons while rendering-a paragraph at a time.:)

Actually, depending what you buy, its the smaller books PLUS the 1000 page one ;-)
If you get studio then I think you'll have over 2,500 pages of stuff.

A friend of mine gave me his copy of 4D, but he didn't give me the manual, he's since moved away. is there a way to get the manual without having to purchase another copy of 4D?..using R8.01.
I've have the download version, but it 's only a about 100 pages.

Yes, just call maxon and they can sell you a printed manual set. You will need to give them some details to make sure you have a legit copy though. Im not accusing anyone, but it wouldn't be the first time someone has downloaded c4d from kazaa then tried to buy the printed manuals or get tech support using a dodgey serial number.
