I hope you guys have seen first hand how well the
Star Wars Steampunk challenge

is going.

that challenge had its genesis right here in the DSF.

I want to do something similar for the FXWARS forum
but this time I want to design an FX sequence for a space combat "film"

The Sequence would be called

The Final Flight of the Excalibur..

I want to desing a new SCifi Universe,from scratch, but I want it to be EPIC...

In term of the visuals I have in mind,

aww another nerdy boring.w..n..
this _could_ be interesting
term sci-fi possible could include fantasy and fiction for example
but you downgrade it to space battle scenes, consisting of geometric objects put on white dotted background and then overlayed with some color madness at best
"Excalibur". Does this word have a meaning? OH YEAH?
i guess people are losing the creativeness and art feeling sometimes

didn't mean anything against anybody, it's just my grumbling along with the only way i can represent my thoughts...

Yes you can be as creative as you wish...

If you see the excalibur being a sailing ship moving on outer space, then do that.
